Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-02
ToolHive is designed so that your privacy is protected by architecture, not just by promises. This policy explains, plainly, what does and does not happen when you use the site.
Your data stays on your device
All of our tools run entirely inside your web browser. The text, files and images you work with are processed locally on your own device and are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on any server we control. When you close the tab, that data is gone.
We do not collect personal information
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or the content you process. There is no first-party database of users because there are no user accounts.
Cookies
ToolHive does not set its own tracking cookies. Some tools may use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (for example, a chosen option) — this data stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that count page views without cookies and without collecting personally identifiable information. This helps us understand which tools are useful. It does not track you across other websites.
Advertising (future)
ToolHive is currently ad-free. If we introduce advertising in the future, it may be served by third-party networks that could use cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads. If and when that happens, we will update this policy and, where required, provide the appropriate controls and consent options. The core promise will not change: the tools themselves will continue to process your data locally.
Third-party links
Pages may link to other websites. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies and you are subject to the privacy practices of that site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
